Energy Plantation
Biomass, typically in the form of wood pellets, is widely acknowledged as a clean, low-carbon alternative to other fuels for generating energy. What makes biomass a green fuel is that, in its simplest form, it is effectively carbon neutral. The emission generated from burning it does not pump additional carbon into the air, but rather releases carbon that was previously absorbed by the tree. Located in Paser, East Kalimantan, PT Jaya Bumi Paser (JBP) centered on the production of biomass to produce wood pellets as a source of energy, in line with environmental conservation values. Currently JBP, is in the process to apply the FSC standard starting from area mapping projects, land clearing, planting, harvesting to the wood pellet production process.
